In the process of buying a new server to run FMSS 3.5. Just curious whether it makes more sense to allocate resources towards more RAM or towards faster processors?
Ideally, both, I'm sure, but processing gets expensive really quick!

Basically, we're just running streaming server for VOD files with no plans to move to an interactive seat. In the next month or two, we'll be feeding it live streams from a portable encoder for random campus events and whatnot.
Nothing really beyond that. Anyone out there have good specs on what they're using? Went through this before a year and a half ago, but Adobe still does a really lackluster job of breaking down system requirements into "required," "nice to have," and "this monster will handle anything you can throw at it!"

i am a bit confused also such as VideoGeek if a streaming server actually can be used to broadcast and recieve live audio streaming (netradio style)
can this be done from streaming server or should i choose interactive server?
i am asking this because of the big diference in the price of the 2 servers...
