Stream automaticaly stop publishing to fms from air application

Hi
I am using fms 3.5.7 with ffmpeg to publish my screen video.
Following is the command I am using to publish my screen video to server:
ffmpeg -f dshow -i video="UScreenCapture" -c:v libx264 -b:v 150k -tune zerolatency -analyzeduration 0 -pix_fmt yuv420p -profile:v baseline -f flv rtmp://xxx.xxx.xx.xx/live/streamname

Problem: Stream automatically stop after 5-7 minutes i.e Publishing of screen frames to fms stops after 5 to 7 minutes by its own. Suddenly my CPU usage for ffmpeg process fall to 0 and my connection with fms stop sending frames to server (I checked in netlimiter) and screen video stop receiving on receiver end...and whole process of screen sharing terminates here. Every time it stops after in between of 5 to 7 minutes.
I also wrote on UScreenCapture forums but they told me that there are no time limitations on its uses.

Please suggest a solution.

Thanks

BitmapData.draw() & security sandbox violation

I am at a loss here with Flash's security system. I am developing a monitoring application that will continuously go through and get a snapshot of a live video stream for multiple events. I have everything done, except for this frustrating security sandbox error.

SecurityError: Error #2123: Security sandbox violation: BitmapData.draw: http://mytestsite.com/test.swf cannot access unknown URL. No policy files granted access.
at flash.display::BitmapData/draw()

This is currently just running through the built-in "live" application.

Things I have tried:
1) Copy the "live" application from samples. In the main.asc:
//this.HTMLDomainsAuth = true
//this.SWFDomainsAuth = true
p_client.videoSampleAccess = "/"
p_client.audioSampleAccess = "/";

2) Edit the /applications/live/Application.xml
<Client override="yes"> (Tried both with and without the override option)
<AudioSampleAccess enabled="true">/</AudioSampleAccess>
<VideoSampleAccess enabled="true">/</VideoSampleAccess>

3) Edit /conf/_defaultRoot_/_defaultVHost_/Application.xml to set the following:
<Client override="yes">
<AudioSampleAccess enabled="true">/</AudioSampleAccess>
<VideoSampleAccess enabled="true">/</VideoSampleAccess>

4) Made sure my crossdomain.xml file is at the root of the swf's domain

5) Tried netstream.checkPolicyFile = true

I've restarted the Flash server multiple times and have had no luck.

RE: Upgrade of 3.5.3 ..

Just to quickly cover how to update FMS to a newer version:

1. Backup all of conf and applications folders. Logs too if you want to make sure those are kept.

2. Install new version. It should prompt the removal of the old version

3. Copy back in all of your applications

4. Carefully, manually check each XML file in the applications and conf folders to make sure you are using the latest XML files but with the changes you may have applied. It's a pain.. but has to be done like this.

RE: Upgrade of 3.5.3 ..

Hi there,

1 year later I reopen this post: I was reported some problems on my game those last weeks, finally I opened the core.log file and find out entries log corresponding to the problems time:

Assert failed in /FlashPlayer6_02_FlashCom/shared_tcserver/tcparser.cpp line 109

After some googling, I read that article were the advise is to update to 3.5.7
http://forums.adobe.com/message/4120260

So I decided to update and today I migrated my users on a temporary server to ensure service continuity while I will take care of the update.

two questions here:
1) My 3.5.3 license allows me to update to which version ? should I go to 3.5.7, or am I allowed to install higher ? 4 or 4.5 ?

2) what is the best way to update ? hard to find something better than http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/install/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d119ed5bf6c6-7ff2InstallConfigure.html where apparently you stop - backup - uninstall old version - reinstall new version ?

Thanks

Behaviour of client.getStats() with edge-orgin fms is anomalous

Hi,
In first case my application's bandwidth monitor is working fine with NON-edge origin configuration of fms. I see correct values in up and down bytes that are sent and received between clients.
For an edge-origin configuration these values are not coming as they should.

Example:
The first client connection to the edge looks like working normally his sent and received bytes are shown fine, but for the second and subsequent connections the bytes of data received by client is 0 and does not change although data "is" received by the client.

Also, suppose client A sends some data to server, so his up data bytes should be shown to him only. But in edge origin configuration client A's up data bytes "value" is shown to all other connected clients as "their" up data bytes with their down bytes values as 0...

Where could be the problem, what should i check? any xml settings missing?

Please help.

I am checking this on fms 3.5.3 developer edition as orgin server and 3.5.7 developer edition as edge server.

Regards,

Sahil.

Edge/Origin FMS server deployment issue of numbers of users.

Hi,
     I have set up Edge and Orign sever for live audio-video transmission. Connection set up successfully between the servers but isuue was number of clients displayed in Origin server console.
Suppose:

We connected 10 users to edge server and 1 user on origin server, total connection shown in FMS admin console of origin server where 10 + 2 +1 (for a single application.) and at admin console of edge server showing total connection 10 which is fine.
So the total users on Origin FMS console were 13 users. But at the same time port connection on 1935 of origin server , the number of connections made from edge to origin were very less. why such difference?

Loading a sound track from the middle of sound file

When users try to watch a clip on youtube, on the player, they can choose to watch it from middle of clip or the begining or from nearly the end or from any point they like. in other words they should not watch the clip from the begining to the end and they have the freedom to click on any part of the timeline and watch the clip from the point that they wish.

I have sound files in mp3 format and I would like my users to listen to sound from anywhere on timeline that they wish, at the begining , middle or any part of sound track.

Please advise me. How can I do that.

Thanks in advance.

FMS 3.5 setInterval connections count

Hi!

Ive created a simple interval:

[some code]

application.games["game_" + id].gameInterval = setInterval(gameCallback, id);

gameCallback = function(id) {
     var so = SharedObject.get("game_" + id);
     var atime = so.getProperty("time");
     atime += 1;
}

So everybody who is connected to game sharedOBject get notified about time variable change.

Everything works fine, but the problem is that number of shared object conenctions is rising fast, and after some time FMS just freezes. Why thereare so many connectons? Why they are not garbage collected? How to create interval correctly without creating false connections? (im waching the connections number in console shared object tab)

RE: Distant Shared Object

Ok, thanks for the answer Graeme.
Just like I thought. Still, it's weird since it's wrote in the doc that you won't be abble to do server-side coding with FMSS but not that you won't be abble to do something as simple as a remote SO.

Anyway, I will see with my boss if we can upgrade our version.

Again, thanks for your answer.

FMSS is pretty much useless for anything other than JUST streaming. Yes, you need the interactive or dev version.

Distant Shared Object

Hello everyone,

I'd like to know if it's possible to use distant Shared Object with the FMSS ? Or do I need the interactive or Developper version ?

I mean, I looked in the Adobe doc for the difference between FMSS and FMIS but nowhere it's said I can not used distant SO with the streaming version.

Still, I can't use them on my app.
Even with this simple test :
nc.connect("rtmp://xxx.xx.xxx.xxx/xxxx/test_so");

function onConnectHandler(nse:NetStatusEvent){
	if(nse.info.code== "NetConnection.Connect.Success"){
		trace ("nc : "+nc.uri);

		so = SharedObject.getRemote('new_stream', nc.uri, false);
		so.connect(nc);

		so.addEventListener(SyncEvent.SYNC,syncEventHandler);

		trace ("so : "+so.data);
	}else
	trace (nse.info.code);
}

function syncEventHandler(se:SyncEvent){
	trace("detection nouveau stream : "+se.changeList[0].code);
}

bt_debug.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, debug);
bt_debug.buttonMode=true;

function debug(me:MouseEvent):void{
	trace('in debug : ');
	so.setProperty('new_stream', 'test');
}
I can't see any shared Object in the FMS console ?

any idea ?

Thanks.

ps : oh, and thanks for all the tuto's on the site, their great.

RTMPT connection time

HI!

Iv got a succesfull FMS project. I would like to configure it to work by RTMPT. So I just changed the url to use RTMPT. IT works great. Only one problem. When connecting to FMS:
_gatewayUrl = "rtmpt://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80/myname";
nc.connect(_gatewayUrl, userData);
I have to work about 30 seconds to connect. When I get NetConnection.Connect.Success everything what continue goes smoothly (connecting to SO. calls etc)
What can be the problem?

Ive set ADAPTOR.HOSTPORT = :80
