Muscletech Pro Series Alpha Test
This might sound crazy but just go with me for a minute here. In some ways the natural T booster market is a lot like Hollywood.
Not only are you bombarded with images of beautiful people with killer bodies and winning smiles, there are also definite A-Lister names. Companies that are guaranteed box office. Muscletech is one of those.
When they release a booster, fitness fans around the world do sit ups and take notice. It’s no surprise then that plenty of our readers have been requesting a review of Muscletech Pro Series Alpha.
Just glance at this product and it’s not hard to see why. Pro Series Alpha promises higher testosterone in just 7 days! It also aims for raised ATP, which your body will eventually convert to energy improving performance.
What’s more, strong user feedback so far suggest it might actually be able to deliver. But, again, like Hollywood, all the stars have their screaming, devoted fans, right? So what’s the truth?
Well, we’ve got every shot of finding out because like most credible players on the natural booster scene there are no proprietary blends.
Every ingredient is listed with it’s individual amount. I’ve got to be honest, that intro has me pretty hyped (and I wrote it) so let’s see what we’ve got…
How Does It Work?
At a Glance
- Zinc to support strong T production
- Fenugreek to balance blood sugars
- Tribulus Terrestris to allegedly stimulate to support male hormone.
- Shilajit extract to help energy and verility
- Boron to promote better T to estrogen balance.
- DIM to reduce estrogen production.
We’ll sort the good, the bad and the WTF right after we get through with the scores
As is usually the case with Muscletech there’s a lot to feel good about.
Fenugreek is a strong choice and the generous amount of boron is something you don’t see a lot of in other brands. Zinc’s a great addition as always, but it would be nice if we had a little more.
Shilajit extract and DIM have shown some clinical promise but they’re still a little unconvincing and there are probably stronger choices out there. Saving the worst for last, Tribulus terrestris is a real head scratcher from such an experienced company. Honestly, check for yourself, there’s no credible scientific evidence that this is in any way helpful.
Muscletech Pro Series Alpha is currently on Bodybuilding.com for a fraction over $20. That’s pretty great for any booster. This isn’t the best formula out there, as we’ve already touched on and we’ll go on to explain in detail, you can definitely do better for your T.
But as far as being easy on your wallet and getting a fair amount of help too, this is a strong budget option for sure.
There are no concerns about the safety of any Muscletech products and this one is no different.
All the quality assurances are there. As I say, we also like like the fact that they don’t use proprietary blends, so no hint of any cover up. The only place we can really fault them is on a few ingredient choice. A couple don’t really have that much scientific weight behind them and Tribulus is a flat out bust.
The sooner boosters get that out of there and start making room for stuff that can really help us, the better.
There are plenty of really strong reviews for this product on Bodybuilding.com. That’s a great sign don’t get us wrong, but with a company big as Muscletech there’s a lot of brand loyalty.
We’re not saying, every guy who gives Pro Series Alpha the guns up is full of it, but it would’ve been nice to have some really detailed individual testimonials from regular guys who’ve got the benefits. There isn’t a section like that on the official site, it’s much more about the experiences of elite athletes.
There’s no doubt Muscletech are an impressive set up. A huge company with supplements for ever aspect of fitness and with worldwide reach. There are no serious complaints or scandals we could find either. We’re fans.
How Do I Take It?
Users take 2 servings of 2 caps a day, with water, at the start and end of the day.
If you bookend two servings like that, everything we know about your metabolism tells us that active ingredients are going to slowly taper off and become less potent in the middle of the day. That’s a real shame when it’s just a matter of adding in a few more servings to top them up.
Most successful boosters favor 3 or 4 evenly spaced servings so you know everything is working at full tilt.
Any Muscletech Pro Series Alpha Side Effects?
There’s nothing that worries us here (nothing has been reported either) and a lot of that confidence comes from there being no proprietary blends. You can only rule nasty surprises out if you’ve got all the facts.
Top tip: always favor products that offer full disclosure.

Ingredients – In Detail
Zinc is vitally important for T and it’s one of the first things you should be looking for in a booster. Without building blocks like luteinizing hormone as well as human growth and follicle stimulating hormones, which rely on zinc, your body will struggle to produce enough T,
It is possible to overdo zinc and see some ill effects but daily tolerance is 40mg, which is why we hopped to see a bit more than just 7.5mg a serving here.
This ingredient, used a lot in Indian food can be plenty helpful. It can boost libido, stimulate androgens, and help balance blood sugars. This is important as this helps regulate insulin and, reduce SHBG and allow test to be more effective free testosterone. 300mg is a solid amount to get all that done.
The most infamous has-been on the booster circuit. Tribulus got it’s reputation decades ago and modern studies have since blown a hole right through that reputation. In really high amounts it may help your sex drive but there are better natural ways to do that and we don’t have nearly enough here. 250mg down the tubes.
There are studies to suggest this herb, long used in traditional medicine, can raise T. But most work has been carried out on infertile males and we’d like to see a bit more work done before getting 100% behind this.
Boron is difficult to get enough of in your diet, but supplementing is absolutely worth it. Studies have shown both raises test and lowers estrogen. The results of one clinical study showed that 6mg of boron daily for 2 months saw free T rise 29.5mg. so you can imagine what 100mg might do for us.
DIM is a nutrient found in green leafy veg which has promise as an estrogen blocker. With one catch. Certain doses it can boost the female hormone. It’s an estrogen modulator rather than a out and out blocker. The dose you’ve got here should be fine, but there’s always that question at the back of our mind.
We’d love to see plenty of D-Aspartic Acid and vitamin D3 here, both of which do the job Tribulus claims to for real, Also we’re surprised there’s no magnesium, which would make the perfect partner for the great amount of boron and help free T.
On the estrogen blocking side, the case for vitamin B6 is a little stronger than DIM, so that would make a nice change up.
The concludes our Alpha Test review. Available for a great price from one of the big hitters in the booster market, we can definitely see the appeal of this product on the surface. When you get down to it though, the formula could be a lot better.
If you’re on a tight budget then this has got to be in the running for your pick as it should bring some benefits, but for anyone else there are plenty of other options out there which, in our opinion, will ultimately get you greater results.
