What are normal testosterone levels?
Defining ‘normal’ testosterone levels seems to be a lot harder than you’d think. Google page one turns up a lot of results that are like listening to some weasel of a politician trying and failing to dodge a question. Just answer the question!
If you know your test levels, input them into the calculator then select the units of measurement. Input your age, hit the ‘Calculate’ button and it will show you where you sit on the chart.
How 'normal' are your testosterone levels?
Where do these stats come from?
For men ages 40 to 70+ we've taken the figures which were originally produced as part of this large scale study by Elizabeth Barrett-Connor in 2005. There is no abstract available for us to link to () but helpfully the tables have been reproduced by Harvard University in this article.
For men aged 19 to 39 years we've based the stats on this work conducted on 400 men in 2017 and published in the The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, Volume 102, Issue 4, 1 April 2017.
